Christmas is coming. Tomorrow, 21/12, the major shopping centers will open until the MID-NIGHT!!!!

Freeway was not as busy as usual this morning

This morning, I drove to work at 7.30 am.
Almost no traffic jam in Freeway, that was a bit slow near the City.
I thought that is because of Christmas Time. The people started to have their holidays.

I went to the new IKEA in Logan. That's huge. Moreover, the car park is well managed. The signs are so clear!!!!!!

The most important thing is they got more showrooms now!!!!

Yellow Sky

When I got up this morning, I looked at the sky. This is yellow. So Strange! Moreover, the whole day looked like getting rain soon. But the rain has not come for the whole day. Is it because of climate change?

Sunnybank Plaza

Hong Kong Community is too small. Today, I have been in Sunnybank Plaza. I met a number of people, without Appointments.

This is too easy to find the people I know in sunnybank.

Someone like Brisbane

Tonight, I have talked with some internet students.
A girl told me she likes Brisbane, that is less busy than Hong Kong.
Brisbane is much better.

Hail Storm at Brisbane this afternoon.

Wow, this afternoon, Hail storm at Brisbane. Everyone in my office was running to get his/her to undercover. After hail storm, the A/C in my office was our of order too. I am not sure whether the hail destroy the A/C.

Luckily, our boss said too hot in office, we can go home early.

A bad day

Today, I lost my key card.
After work , I got a speeding ticket.
A lot of bills I need to pay mailed to my home today.

Interest Rate rises again

This morning, I read the news interest rate rises 0.25% . I am woundering what the effect are on real estates.

Today, I drave to home. I looked at the grass along the road. All of them turned to yellow. Brisbane is like a desert. But tonight, finally, they are having a big rain now!!!!!! Raining, Raining , Raining. We need more water!!!!!!! Keeps praying and thank you for God.

Today, Level 4 water restriction has arrived.
I will pray for raining in Brisbane and save more water.

DREWVALE

I went drewvale, this evening. I tried to use Logan Motorway. I went there 5 pm and somethings. That is a peak hours, but no traffice. This may be caused by Toll.

I lived in 4 zone. This is far away from city. I need to change two buses for work.
Thus, I hope I can drive to work, but I have not a free park in my office.

Today is the state election in Queensland. I did my first vote

We need a smart card for bus.

Fuel is always high now. More and more people choose to use bus service. The bus ticketing system in Brisbane is really old style. Please lanch a smart card system as soon as possible.

I and Eli passed by a display home. The house is so nice, but it costs $519K. This is not for us, mate.

Housing cost

Housing cost is increasing....
Rent rate is much higher than 5 years ago.
I am so regret to buy a house, but even now I have not enough to buy a house which is same price 5 years ago.

Rental is so expensive now.

Yesterday, I have looked some rental town house or unit. That is so expensive. The cheapest still needs $210 and somethings. I remeber the rent five years ago was much lower than $200, a nice townhouse is only costed $180.

I live in brisbane by myself.

6pm at city

If I were in Hong Kong, 6pm, everywhere should be very very busy. All shops still open. Maybe, I will phone to some friends. We will talk about where for dinner.

But tonight, I was in Brisbane city. I was rushing to home. Most of shops are closed.

That is so different.

I hope the two new dams can build as soon as possible. This can be relief of our water restriction.

Brisbane's the best restaurant

Recently, I have talked with my colleagues about this topic. I think that is Eden Coffee in Sunnybank park. But the owner has sold this coffee. After the owner changed, I have not gone to there for long long time.

The other resturant I like, but that is not in Brisbane. That is the Japanese resturant in Clock hotel. The food is so fresh.

The people without Summer

Have you met any one have been not summer for 5 years? I know a lot. There are a lot of Hong Kong students in Australia. They go back Hong Kong every summer holidays in Australia. They go back Hong Kong before Dec. That is not an offical start of Australia and is the Winter in Hong Kong. They go back Australia around March. The hottest Summer is gone by March.

They are the people without Summer.

Hong Kong People Or Chinese

I have been asked a question ,"Where are you from?", thousands of times.
Evey times, I say , "I am from Hong Kong." But Am I a Chinese or a "Hong Kong Person"?

My friends come to the ceremony. He gave me some aussie food as a grift. Yeah, but after the ceremony , we went to Sunnybank eating chinese food......

Australian Value

Today I came to citizenship ceremony. The Lord Mayor gave his speech about the "Australian Values". He defined the "Australian Values" is "Fair GO". They don't care about where the people came from, what kind of personal believe. If the people are willing to contribute to Australia Community, obey the law in australia and liberalities in Australia. Everyone can still keep their own culture and believes. That's a good speech.
