Brisbane Airport

I have not driven to Brisbane Airport for ages. I think that is around 5 to 6 years ago. This morning I drave to Brisbane Airport for picking up a friend. I found there is a "new" multi-levels carpark. Moreover, the arrival hall seems to be renovated. Lastly, I found there is a coffee club opened at the hall. Who are saying Brisbane never change! Just this is not changing as fast as Hong Kong

Not voting,

I am from Hong Kong, so I believe voting is a citizen's rights. But in Australia, voting is your responsibility as a citizen. If you do not vote without an acceptable reason, you need to pay penalty(I think that is around $50). Once times, I had a business travel, so I can't vote in my area. Then I phoned to Australia Electoral Commision to explan.

New Buildings are still under construction...

Brisbane River View 2009

I took a photo on Last Friday. I saw those two new buildings are still under construction. And those seem to be "A" grade Office Buildings. That is a good sign in the current global economic climate.

Taxi Tank

Sometime I take taxi at Brisbane City. Normally I will catch a taxi at a taxi tank, because there is always taxi waiting for passengers. If I wait on the street, I may not find one without passengers in quick. But I found I am wrong last night. Last night, I had a friend came to Brisbane for trainning. I had a dinner with her. After the dinner, that was at 6.45. Her flight was on 7.45. That was plenty of time. Normally, you can arrive at airport around half hour from City. But I brought her to the taxi tank at Brisbane Square. No taxi! and there are a few people waiting for a taxi. Finally, I brough her to the taxi tank at the end of Queen Street Mall. There were no taxi too.But only three people were waiting in there. We had spent extra 20 minutes.

I think the reason, normally, I catch a Taxi during office hours. And the situation is different from night time. There must be less taxi at night time. Next times, I need to put the time of waiting taxi in my plan
